Art, the greatest historian of them all...

Keeping track of the rise and downfall of human spirit, from times when art existed but was not yet perceived...

When did the first color become manifest in a primitive perceptual electrochemical engine we now call "brain"? What is the simplest configuration that allows such a pattern to emerge? When do qualia get born, and do they ever completely fade out of existence? Do they even have one of their own? Do colors and sounds wander aimlessly into a realm known only to them, until some random consciousness snatches them into manifesting what we, the living, call "reality".

The fire doesn't burn out of need or necessity. Man did not create fire, man discovered it. The possibility of fire was there all along. The same goes for qualia. The possibility of radiation translation into a tool of scanning, reporting and exploring the environment of a living entity was there from the beginning. If something can be used, it will eventually get used by some process or entity.

As for the moving/breathing/breeding biological Ai machines that all living creatures are, a question remains.
Why are there barriers in place that mitigate the effects of accelerated fight for survival? Why don't birds eat each other FASTER? Why don't predators indiscriminately kill and eat all the prey there is? And why do humans do it, and yet we are still around DOING IT?!?

So what came first? The law? The order? Or the fist?
When something is everywhere and its manifestation is unseen because it happens at such a scale that it eludes our focused perception, we simply say: "there is no such thing".

There is no Will of God, because there is no God.
There is just The Will.
And to that you don't need to pray. And that you don't need to fear. Leaves don't fear the wind, although there comes a time when every leaf must break and fall. Some before their time, some lingering on longer than all the other leaves.
We are but tiny gears in a clockwork that doesn't measure time. It measures itself, self referential to a fault.

There is no need to wait for an eternal afterlife.
You are in it right now.
You may lose your name, your face and your sexual orientation.
But are you your name? Your face? Your sexual orientation? Your bank account? Your job? Your family?
What are you, really?...
Or, the better question would be:
Are you, really?

What was "God"'s first thought?
A need? A wish? An urge?
Why "let" anything "be", instead of letting it all just be?
Is there something to be extracted out of living this living experience
Refined to a fault
Forgotten and rediscovered and again forgotten
We carry on the palimpsest
Until the writing becomes the paper
And the paper becomes the fabric of this universe
Of choice
And matter
And forces that push and pull
And shatter
When your first thought is always your last
The only reason for information
Is to make order out of a higher order
And chaos out of a higher chaos
Algorithm, algo-rhythm
Rhythms of pain and things that don't exist
Outside your mind
Yet manifest to make the world outside
Navigable
The map may not be the territory
But to us
The map is everything we got
And all the hells and heavens, lights and fears and joys
Reside not here, not there
Not anywhere
And you may lose your senses and your engine stout
The soulware making worlds within without
Then what is left to fear, what's left to feel
To think or not to think
Horses running wild...

Limits & lures

The most beautiful things about human life are almost always lies, deceit or self induced illusion.
Hope never dies. But hope is synonymous with suffering, for when hope is present, it means you are not ok. You HOPE for it to end. And if you are ok, you HOPE for it to never end.
Love is such a beautiful thing, until you realize only a small percentage of living things have access to it. And it's never perfect, because in experiencing love there is impossible to give and receive precisely the same amount of love and affection. And if you are feeling loved, it only means that you are not giving enough back.
The most dreadful thing about life is also the most merciful thing to ever happen to us. The fact that life is not eternal. And the only thing more horrible than eternal suffering would be eternal happiness.
For when humanity is gonna get to understand the true meaning of human feelings, they are gonna realize that there can never be light without darkness or darkness without light, that absolutes can never exist in a self referential system, and an ever so slightly holier Satan or a slightly perverted Jesus would instantly transform them into their own arch-nemesis.
Do not make pain and pleasure the gods of your existence. They are just what they are:

Phi ramblings - Quote VI

You don't have to believe in something in order to use or be used by it. Frankly, if he existed, I don't think he would give a damn whether or not we do believe in him. The ants don't believe in us, the superior, intelligent, smart-ass, self-awareness endowed humans, and they can't possibly comprehend anything beyond their area of expertise aka. day to day struggle for survival. So. Do ants believe in our existence? No... But they can see our actions... Now, they don't make a fuss out of it, they just handle it the way they handle anything, and that is the ant way. Now us humans complain we can't believe there is a God, because of our expectations on how a God would act if IT would exist. Can we possibly imagine how a superior being would act? Can we even infer such a thing? No. As Wittgenstein would put it: "If a lion could speak, we couldn't understand him". The same goes for upper ladder intelligence too. The lion does not understand us EVEN IF WE ROAR back at him... Now, can God understand our prayers? Debatable... Could he sense our struggle and turmoil and feel pity and love towards us? The answer is: WHY? Well, for some, it's just a hobby to tend for pets and care for animals down the food chain, and they revel in the fact that they can seemingly UNDERSTAND the feelings, needs and musings of a dog or a cat... Everything we do, we do BY HUMAN STANDARDS. Including the invention of a CREATOR who made us, go figure, in HIS shape, and not the other way round. We are the CREATORS of our own environment, which includes philosophical illusions. Can we ever prove God exists? Unlikely. Can we ever prove he doesn't? Well, that depends on what we mean by him existing at all. Is he a bearded old man, like Santa, or, is he young and beautiful like Jesus or vengeful, or ethereal. Is he an alien that genetically engineered us all, is he a quantum computer software, cold and precise like the laws of physics, or is he, or IT, just an inanimate super-intelligence, who doesn't give a squat about anything, more so, about tiny puny humans on a blue planet from a galaxy among thousand of thousands of trillion others. We can see a pattern. But we will always see and interpret a pattern by integrating FAMILIAR patterns, and NEVER could we ever be able to understand a thing that's entirely NOVEL in its most infinitesimal parts. We are born human, with the capabilities and hardware of a HUMAN. We are limited by the way the connections in our brain CAN be made. You can't bypass that. And neither can a computer program, because it was made by us humans using the algorithms and patterns we can come up with, being conditioned by our own "hardware". So does God exist? The answer to that, the ultimate answer is: "Yes and no, at the same time. Just like everything else." There is a mathematical proof for that. And although we can't put our finger on it, and touch it, it is the truth. We can only directly interact with the layer of reality on which we operate, both physically and mentally. Now us humans are so smart, that we have built extensions to our senses, and explored the limits of reality, both big and small. But when we get too close to either too big or too small, our familiar concepts no longer seem to work. But how come the whole thing doesn't collapse or crumble and just stay that way? The inner nature of everything eternal lies in the ability to be and not be at the same time. Everything was, and everything will be. Forever. And with sufficient time and space, things that were, will be again EXACTLY the same... Now, if you are dead, you are dead. Time does not exist when you are not there to experience it. What does that give? The answer is nothing short of an epiphany.

Phi ramblings - Quote V

A God using a third party, trying to impose psychological shit on the symbolic-animal abomination He just created, is just like a software engineer sending his secretary to talk the software, he himself programmed, into being reasonable, while being aware of all the code's inherent flaws, at all times. Not just completely useless, but highly fucked-up as well... The logical flow breakdown leads to spiritual fallacies that are claiming human lives in exchange for validity. Death vs. Truth: Who will be the last standing?
The randomness of chaos will eventually bring to surface an ultimate truth, just like the random monkey typing random characters on a random keyboard in a random universe will, eventually, not just get to re-write part of a well known Shakespearean drama, but also, come up with a recipe for a better world! Why not a recipe for a worst one, you may say... Well... Friend... Disaster does not need a recipe. Disaster is the way things are BOUND to go... I pray entropy will get easier on you. Amen...

Phi ramblings - Interlude I

"Mama, tata, exista Dumnezeu?
-Intreaba-te singur
-Si daca ma intreb singur, nu imi voi raspunde tot eu?
-E acelasi lucru..."

Phi ramblings - Quote IV

Communication transcends mere language. The Truth transcends mere concepts. I cannot SPEAK or WRITE down, on what I am, or what I feel... I can only help you experience it yourself. There is no teacher. Ever.
